Have a read below of some of our most frequently asked questions on Home Care and Live-in Care in and around Wallsend, Hebburn, and North Shields, we are of course available to speak on the phone on 0191 500 9748

What is homecare?

Home care is a service that provides support to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. It includes a wide range of assistance, from personal care—like help with bathing, dressing, and mobility—to household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and grocery shopping. Home care can also involve healthcare services like medication management, physical therapy, and monitoring of chronic conditions. It’s designed to help those who are elderly, disabled, recovering from surgery, or managing long-term illnesses maintain their independence and quality of life without needing to move into a care facility.

Do you provide 24-7 Live-in Care?

Yes, we do. We can provide 24-hour live-in care at home, provided you have a spare room for the care professional to stay in. With live-in care, a dedicated caregiver resides in your home, offering continuous support throughout the day and night. This arrangement ensures that you have consistent, personalised care in the comfort of your own home, providing assistance with daily activities, personal care, and any other needs as they arise.

What are the costs of Home Care?

The costs of home care can vary significantly based on several factors, including the type of care required, the number of hours a caregiver is needed each week, your financial situation, your location within the UK, and whether you qualify for any financial assistance with care fees. These variables make it important to assess your specific needs and circumstances when estimating the cost of home care.

Can I contact you during the day, outside office hours, or in an emergency?

Yes, our office hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. However, outside of these hours, we offer an emergency on-call service exclusively for existing service users and care workers, ensuring support is available when needed, even beyond regular business hours.

Do we have to sign and contact and how much notice do we have to give to stop your services?

Yes, we require a short, straightforward contract to be signed to protect all parties involved. Our brochure, sent to you upon inquiry, includes our Service User guide and terms and conditions. To stop the service entirely, we ask for three weeks’ notice. For canceling individual duties, three days’ notice is typically required, depending on the package you have chosen.
